Hey, I’m Akino.

I’m a 3rd gen Filipino-American creator documenting my learnings across disciplines.

In the beginning of 2025, for the first time in my life, I started paying attention to politics.

I was watching the Trump Administration turn America into a Christian nationalist fascist theocracy. And I wanted to figure out why.

As I write this, June 22nd, 2025.. why is 72% of the world under authoritarian rule?

I started reading the books like:

  • Wretched of the Earth
  • Jakarta Method
  • Brown Skin White Minds
  • Pedagogy of the Oppressed
  • etc.

And it’s changing, not just how I interpret current events in 2025, but how I exist and contribute to the world as a human being.

Now I’m writing about decolonization, behavioral psychology, dummy-economics, mental health, productivity, AI, practical spirituality, & post-capitalist entrepreneurship.

My Values

Learning in Public
I’m not an expert or guru. I’m sharing the messy, raw process of figuring things out. When I discover something that changes my perspective, I share it: the confusion, the breakthrough, the challenges, and everything in between. I’m still learning, and I think there’s value in showing that process.

Critical Consciousness
I’m learning to see how systems of power actually shape our reality and figuring out how to do something meaningful with that knowledge.

Decolonial Education
As a third-generation Filipino American, I’m figuring out how colonization works, how it harms us and the planet, and what we can do about it

Post-capitalist Entrepreneurship
I’m exploring how to use entrepreneurial skills I gained from navigating the container of capitalism for the past 5 years, for something meaningful and integrative instead of just extraction.

Curiosity is a love language

Curiosity is the greatest language of love we can have in times of hyper polarization today in 2025. Paulo Freire calls this “epistemological curiosity”.

Ai isn’t good or bad

Tools, technology, paints, and pens, are extensions of the user. The creator and their mental models, beliefs, trauma, and self awareness.

ADHD is a skill that can be aimed

I have ADHD (attention directed to higher dimensions) I think there should be schools specifically for the NeuroDivergent mind

Stop solving math equations, start solving spiritual equations

Humanity lost touch with spirit because we overvalue the intellect. Look where it got us today in 2025. Because we don’t solve spiritual equations

The quality of life you’re able to access is directly proportional to the quality of questions you ask

Current Focus

Right now I’m diving deep into climate change as colonialism, conscious technology development, and Pan-Austronesian futurism: imagining what post-colonial Filipino civilization could look like.

I’m also working on frameworks for:

  • Maintaining relationships during challenging social, political, and economic realizations
  • Adapting marketing skills for post-capitalist consciousness instead of manipulation
  • Understanding authoritarian patterns without falling into hopeless depression
  • Integrating spiritual wisdom with systems thinking
