About

I'm Perris Aquino. I've been dancing since I was nine years old. I'm 29 now. That's twenty years of movement as a way of life, not just a hobby or a career.

I was a cast member with the Jabbawockeez — season one winners of America's Best Dance Crew. I'm a member of Hybrids, a crew in Las Vegas known for versatility, teaching, and community building. I've worked in the Las Vegas entertainment industry for a decade. I've created content with brands like GameStop, DJI Japan, Webtoon, and Four Seasons Hotel.

For five years I stepped away from all of that to build a marketing agency. I learned systems, funnels, and growth strategy. I got good at helping other people build things. And I stopped dancing. Stopped sharing anything creative. I performed a version of myself that I thought would be taken seriously, and it made me miserable.

CyphrCam came out of that. I kept waiting for someone to build a proper recording tool for dancers and nobody did. So I spent a year teaching myself Swift and built it myself. It's the first thing I've made where every version of me is in the same room: the dancer, the marketer, the filmmaker, the builder.

I write about the intersection of technology and creative practice, building in public as a solo founder, and the books and ideas shaping how I think. Most of my reading sits at the intersection of political economy, decolonial thought, and systems thinking.

Filipino American. Third generation. Always learning.
